Our student council is made up of 24 members consisting of the Head boy and Head girl as well as their deputies as the leaders. All 4 of our pastoral houses then appoint representatives from their respective house councils to join as permanent members. Chaplaincy, sports, eco-warriors, and cadets are also included as permanent members to showcase the inclusivity of our school and it takes into account all wings of school life.
Our student council meets once a half-term to discuss previous actions, and current issues and to decide on future endeavours. So far the student council has worked on the school’s rewards system, sand safety around the school and is now focusing on improving the student experience through different activities throughout the year. Here at St. John Fisher we value and place great emphasis on student’s voice while promoting leadership within the student body. All that is discussed is fed back to forms.
